🌊 DEAN 🌊
Terrier cross, 12 lbs., approx. 2 years old
Dean is a special guy. He’s had some ups and downs in his life and is seeking a forever home that is intent on making training a priority for him, so he can become his very best self.
Dean is smart, eager to please, potty trained in his foster home, loves to be a lapdog and cuddler to his person/people. This funny little couch potato will entertain you with his intermittent zooming on any given day.
LIKES: toys and his people; and is very sweet.
Overall, Dean is a cute and sweet boy.
MISCELLANEOUS INFO: Aggressive tendencies towards other dogs…possibly related to prior life/environment. We recommend homes with teenagers and older, no little ones, simply because he hasn’t had the exposure.
CRATE TRAINING: Does not like the crate but is destructive if otherwise left to roam free and to rely on his own resources; cries/howls when in crate. Over time, and with maturity and training, he will likely be able to transition to free roam.
Dean is a “flight risk” and likes to head out any open door to find adventure. Leash training and obedience training is a must for him.
Using belly bands for the first few days in a new home will be important as he adjusts. Otherwise, he will occasionally marks inside for the first few days. He is also a tiny guard dog and will bark at anyone passing by…he wants you to know he’s a good boy and is watching over his people.
