🎸 MAX 🎸
Border Collie cross (possibly some hound and/or Heeler), approx. 9 months old, 35 lbs.
Max is a sweet soul, craving a patient and caring home to belong to. He is a bit skittish, but super intelligent, and wants to please. Max will benefit from solid obedience training to help build confidence as he grows into an adult.
To Max, life is uncertain and new. He gets car sick when going on outings, but he loves exploring, so the upset tummy is something he may eventually overcome when the reward is fun out doing new things.
This boy is extremely loving and tends to be a bit “mouthy” when excited. It seems as if everything goes in his mouth…fingers, toes, bones, dog toys. He can be a bit possessive of the couch and gets jealous easily. With training and established boundaries Max may not show this insecurity for long. Even so, we recommend a passive fur-sibling or life as an only dog. (Again, he’s young and can learn to overcome these insecurities and quirks with the positive guidance of a solid pack leader.
A home with NO CATS is a good home for Max. He will give chase. Small children or toddlers may not be a good fit for him as he could become excited and jump on them or knock them down unintentionally.
Max loves being outside or cuddling with his people. He does NOT like being in the crate.
Sweet Max will be a work in progress until he’s found his groove with the family of his dreams. Once he knows he’s part of the family, you’ll be showered with his unconditional love and affection. He’s a true sweetheart.
