LIKES: Exploring outside/hikes, scent work, chasing anything that piques her interest, following around her favorite humans, calm dogs, cuddling on the couch, and chew toys. She adores the tween/teen kids in her foster home!

DISLIKES: Not many dislikes however Bennelli has a tendency to bark and lunge at cars or things that surprise her on walks, a chasing trait per usual in hunting/hound breeds

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Bennelli is a happy loving girl who thrives with structure, training, and plenty of mental stimulation—especially activities that let her use her nose.

POTTY TRAINING: Bennelli is fully potty trained when given regular outside access. In her foster home she waits at the door when she needs to go out, has only had a couple near door accidents when foster family didn’t notice cues.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: She will sleep in a crate all night, but prefers to cuddle in bed with her human!

OTHER/MISC: Bennelli needs a loving home with a securely fenced yard, a family committed to consistent training and enrichment, and experienced with beagles’ intelligent, scent-driven nature. Due to her alert nature, and naturally loud bark, she is not well-suited for homes with shared walls.

Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.
