LIKES: Buddy Jackson loves being brushed and pampered, and generally being with his person and getting their attention. He is a lap dog and loves to sleep with his person at night. He is good on leash and loves walks, and will happily play with toys around the house.

DISLIKES: He will bark at other dogs when on leash and when out and about, and does not enjoy having other big dogs in his space. He would enjoy being the only dog in his household. He doesn't like being crated when people are home and takes a minute to warm up to new people.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Jackson is a loyal, affectionate companion who bonds closely with his person. He’s playful, attentive, and happiest when included in your day-to-day activities.

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Jackson is pretty much potty-trained and does excellent when given regular outdoor opportunities.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Jackson is crate-trained and can be safely crated when needed.

EXTRAS/MISC.: Jackson thrives in a home where he is the only pet and can have consistent walks, cuddle time, and gentle guidance around new people and situations. He’ll do best in a calm, patient environment and with a person who understands his needs for positive reinforcement and secure boundaries.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.
