Freya
3 years, spayed female, 70 lbs
German Shepherd
Personality: Freya is a very sweet but timid girl. She responds best to a calm, quiet approach. But she is very loving with her owner. She will alert if she hears someone/something outside or at the door, but doesn’t bark unnecessarily.
Likes: Freya loves to go for car rides, hikes, and walks in the park. Her favorite thing is playing with running water and swimming. She also likes playing fetch when you throw a ball for her. She’ll walks best on leash using a Gentle Leader halter. She loves kids, and when she hears a kid on TV, she walks over to it and stares. She also really likes watching “Doggy Daycare” on YouTube, and looks quite entertained by it. Freya is fine being left at home if you need to run errands, and shows no signs of separation anxiety. She has been a good girl while home alone in her foster home (no destruction or shenanigans while loose in the house). She stays off the furniture if asked, and happily sleeps on the floor next to her human.
Dislikes: Freya is not comfortable going into buildings that she is unfamiliar with and is VERY anxious to leave when entering a new building.
Potty Training: Freya is potty trained and will bop the doorknob or ring a bell, if you hang one on the door, to let you know she wants to go out. She is also used to using a doggy door.
Crate Training: Yes.
OTHER/MISC: Freya will make someone a great companion for walking, hiking, and hanging out. Despite her love for the sounds of kids, she would likely do best in a home with mature adults or older elementary aged children due to her timid nature.
Potty Training: Freya is potty trained and will bop the doorknob or ring a bell, if you hang one on the door, to let you know she wants to go out. She is also used to using a doggy door.
