Meet Bubbles!
Bubbles is a 1 year old female Chihuahua mix, around 13 pounds, who is ready to be your best friend and cuddle buddy. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations - ready to explore the world with you!
Personality: She is timid at first with new people and places and it takes her a couple days to feel comfortable, but once she knows she’s safe, she will be your playful, energetic companion. She's ready to follow you on all your adventures and she has a very playful, puppy spirit.
Bubbles likes: She loves to be right near you or another dog friend to take her naps and sleep for the night. She also loves to go with you wherever you go. She does have some separation anxiety and when left alone, has stress-chewed small, reachable plastic items. Best to keep these types of items out of her reach and lots of toys to occupy her, especially if left alone and outside of her crate.
Hobbies: Cuddling with a person or a dog friend, eating treats, playing with and chewing her toys, playing with her dog friends- especially tug of war, giving kisses and walks. She keeps up on walks with bigger dogs, but will need some consistent leash training. She seems to have a pretty active sniffer!
Dislikes: Bubbles doesn't love being in her crate, but will calm down easier if she can't see any activity in the house from inside her crate. She also doesn't love to be picked up. She gets a little anxiety about car rides, but is getting much more comfortable.
Must-Haves: Bubbles would do best with someone willing to give her the time to settle in and warm up to her new surroundings. She will need some time dedicated to training, as she is a one year old pup with lots of puppy energy!
She loves playing with other dogs and sneaking up to give them kisses so she would probably thrive best in a house with at least another dog. She seems to be used to being a member of a pack.
A fenced yard would be best for Bubbles, for her safety and because she enjoys laying outside in the sun and sniffing around. A dog door to a fenced yard would be even better, as she loves getting her zoomies in by running in and out of the house, if able. She isn't completely tested, but seems to be okay with children during a few short interactions she had. On walks, she shows some interest in giving chase to neighborhood cats, but can easily be refocused.
The Lowdown: Bubbles is potty-trained and has no inside accidents if taken out on a regular schedule (especially right after she eats or drinks.) As mentioned, she doesn't love being in her crate, but will calm down after about 10 minutes, if she can't see any activity.
Bubbles is a super smart little lady who is energetic, eager to learn and be shown some cool stuff from her forever person/people. She's just the perfect travel size and she's adorably cute! When she is getting comfortable for a sleep, she nuzzles her chin down into the blanket and her little tail wags with cozy satisfaction! She's really, really sweet.

Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.
Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.
