LIKES: She likes dogs of any size but likes playing with dogs her size. Being under blankets, chew toys. Going for walks after she gets comfortable. Laying in the sun. Friendly with cats.

DISLIKES: Loud noises, fast movements.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Cannoli is very timid, gentle and sensitive. Cannoli is also very sweet and will get excited when her people come home or come out of the bathroom or wake up in the morning. She does a little dance and will give kisses. Her former foster reports that she could even get a little sassy if her meal didn't come on time.

POTTY TRAINING: Will potty outside every time if door is open. She used the dog door in her former foster home but hasn't figured it out in her current one.

CRATE TRAINING: Cannoli is crate trained and uses it as a safe place.

MISC/OTHER: Cannoli is going to take a special adopter that understands rescue dogs and is capable and willing to give her time to settle. She needs a quiet, gentle adult only, household with a fully fenced yard. She will also need a dog the same size as her to play with, lay with and help her come out of her shell and feel more comfortable. Sitting people are less scary for her. She only has shrink or flight, not fight or flight.

CANNOLI has been in foster for 11 months with Wiggly Tails. When she arrived at the rescue she was very shut down and untrusting. Over time with a few foster homes she has become more comfortable. She now takes anti-anxiety medication, which she may be able to come off of after her transition to her new home is made. She had double luxating patellas and required surgery. After she healed from her surgery we saw her become much more lively and confident and the relief of not having that condition likely helped her feel better physically and mentally. She is a sweet girl and needs a committed adopter who is ready to continue her training and care.

Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family.
