PERSONALITY TRAITS: Scout is a playful and loving little fella. He is warm and friendly with his foster family: equally parts active on walks and couch potato in the evenings. He is super smart and eager to please, catching on to his new home routine at lightening speed.

LIKES: Food! Scout is very food-motivated and inhales his dinner in seconds flat. He loves being petted, belly rubs especially. He mostly loves being around his people and doing whatever you are doing.

DISLIKES: Anyone knocking on the door and big dogs he sees on walks. Being ignored for too long.

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: He is house-trained. If you can let him outside regularly to do his business, he knows what to do.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Yes

EXTRAS/MISC: Scout is a bit of a velcro dog, so he would do best with someone who can give him lots of time and attention. He’s also pretty active, so toys and walks are a must. He’s good with kids, other small dogs, and being in the car.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.
