LIKES: Maurice loves to give everyone in his foster family kisses, as well as most new people he meets. He loves playing with toys and wrestling with his dog friends. When picked up and given chest scritches, Maurice goes into “statue pose,” and only Maurice can call an end to chest-scritch-statue-pose time.

DISLIKES: Anyone being by “his” fence. Maurice doesn’t appreciate other dogs or people by “his” property, but will usually stop and come when called. He will bark at new people on occasion, but typically quickly moves onto kisses.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Maurice is a silly happy-go-lucky boy whose mission in life is to kiss everyone. He is energetic, curious, sweet, and very cuddly. Maurice is an excellent jumper and can easily jump a baby gate as well as his ~4ft pen.

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Does well inside the house with few accidents.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Will sometimes kennel himself into the cushy bed in his crate at night, but doesn’t like to be locked in it during the day.

OTHER/MISC: Maurice would benefit from ongoing training to help him understand how to dog in the human world. He also needs a home without shared walls (no apartments/town homes) due to his alert tendancies.
