Myrissa exudes joy and elicits laughter with her silly antics! She loves her morning runs around the yard, announcing her dominance of the day...and chasing the chickens, or the occasional cat that dares to enter the yard. She's not interested in treats or toys, but will dance on back legs to beg for hand play with her foster, and for uppies! At night she snuggles close, preferably on a pillow snuggled next to her person.

She acts fierce and brave, but she is still fearful of other people and will try to hide from them. She also will take time to warm up to another dog. She was rescued from a hoarding situation in California and then was "on the list" in a shelter before being rescued. She needs people who are patient and willing to let her come out of her shell.

She enjoys being brushed but is less tolerant of baths.

She hasn't had any accidents in her foster home with regular opportunities to go outside.

She's a loyal, loving, one-person pup who will bring someone years of laughter and devoted companionship.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.
