Reedley
9 mos, neutered male, 40 lbs
Terrier mix
Meet Reedley, affectionately known by his foster family as "Tres" because this pup's left rear leg was amputated after an accident. He is healed up and is a regular pup in every way despite his tri-pod status. Extra shout out to all of our generous donors that helped fund his surgery!
LIKES: He loves to be with people, he enjoys chew toys, learning new tricks with treats, and is very food motivated
DISLIKES: Slippery floors.
POTTY TRAINING: Yes, he goes to the door and will bark and come find you if you don’t let him out soon.
CREAT TRAINING: Sleeps in his crate at night and when alone during the day. He will bark a bit and then settle.
PERSONALITY TRAITS: He is very smart, with the exception of occasional selective hearing he responds to his name (Tres) and will sit, lay down, wait, leave it, drop it, and we are going in.
EXTRA: Reedley will benefit from continued training and socialization. He gets very excited meeting new people and animals. He has cats in his foster home and he wants to chase but can be redirected easily when on leash. He gets excited and will pull on leash on walks, but is working on this in his foster home. Ideally his forever home would have an adult dog to help him learn and be a buddy. Has not been around kids but and he would do best with older kids only because he could knock little ones over. Because of his need for balance and stability, he needs to go to a home with carpet or large rugs in walking areas as he is reticent to walk on slippery floors. He will need regular manicures to help with stability.
Overall Reedley ("Tres") is a very sweet loving fur baby and deserving of a fantastic home!
