Wiggly Tails Dog Rescue - Adoptable Dogs

Sally
3 years, spayed female, 20 lbs
Rat Terrier mix

LIKES: Sally enjoys fetch with a ball in the yard and long walks on leash. Down time is important for her to relax and unwind. Ideally Sally will do well with a person who recognizes the need for play and energy expenditure.

DISLIKES: Fast movements from strangers into her space, and being picked up without a friendly consultation first.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Sweet, loving, curious, silly, very playful and cautious. A young adult motivated by treat rewards and a quick learner.

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Sally will do her business when let outside or on walks.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: She sleeps full nights in the crate without a peep, and is fine alone during the day in her crate.

EXTRAS: Sally seems neutral with other polite dogs. Sally shows you quickly that she wants affection and attention, but isn't much of a lap dog, and is happy with a dog bed or sitting near you. She has energy, but rarely barks or whines. Due to her anxiety around new people touching her, we recommend a home without small children. With more training to help her feel more confident, Sally will be a fantastic companion.

Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how SALLY will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.

We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for SALLY, as well as her future family.
