LIKES: Toys and chews, walks, playing with other dogs, CATS, cuddles, belly rubs, and being with her person.

DISLIKES: Strangers walking by the house (she will bark to protect her realm), other dogs taking her toys (she is tiny but mighty).

PERSONALITY TRAITS: This cutie will steal your heart with her big floppy ears, playful energy, and her love of stuffies. She is very loyal and attaches to her people quickly once she feels safe--but she is independent, not clingy. Bella is an angel on leash and a joy to take on walks and to the dog park! A fast learner, she will flourish with a some training.

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Bella knows the cue word “go potty” when let outside, but she is selective about where she will do her business. Took her about 2 weeks but she figured out the doggy door in her previous foster home and loved the freedom of going in and out. She is still adjusting to the routines in her current foster home.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Bella will happily go into her crate or x-pen so long as she has a treat or a chewie to keep her occupied. She can be trusted out in the house for short periods of time, but will have accidents if left alone longer.

EXTRAS/MISC: Bella has had a rough start to her short life and just wants to find her forever family who will give her lots of love. It takes her a little time to warm up to new people but once she decides to love you, she’ll be your best friend. She would love someone who was home more often, and especially a household with other pets to befriend. A fenced yard would be her preference as she loves to run. Bella was thriving in a great foster home and they went on vacation so she moved to a second great foster home where she also thrives; she will easily adjust to new routines and continue to thrive in a loving forever home.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.
