PERSONALITY TRAITS: Ellis is sweet and loving. She is so cute and will scold you if she thinks you’re leaving without her. She rides well in the car and is pretty easy going. She is very alert and will tell you about visitors or animals if she hears them across the fence or sees them on a walk. She would do great with another dog to play with and a fenced yard would be best since she has a lot of energy and loves to run around.

LIKES: Ellis loves zooming around the backyard with her foster siblings and seems to never run low on energy. She wants to be involved in everything and will follow her human and dog friends around everywhere. She enjoys treats and mealtime, laying next to her human on the couch (but not on their lap), sniffing around the backyard, but most of all playtime!

DISLIKES: She is timid of most humans and dogs at first, but warms up quickly. Slow introductions are best.

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: 100% Potty trained in her foster home. Does great on a schedule.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Ellis stays in a crate when her foster family is not home and will whine for a short while, but then settles. If you tell her “no” when she starts whining, typically that will stop it right away. She sleeps fine in a crate all night without a sound.

EXTRAS/MISC: At first Ellis can be nervous, but warms up and gets comfortable quickly. She is a very sweet, loving, and gentle girl. She is a perfect Velcro dog, that is fine being carried in a sling. She seems to walk alright on a leash, but has not yet gone potty on a leash, so she may need some leash training. She is untested with cats in her foster home.
