Teagan

3 years old, spayed female, 15 lbs.

Terrier mix

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Teagan can be slow to warming up to you, but once she does, she’s your new best friend! She is a very loyal dog and is affectionate with her foster, often sitting next to them or in their lap. She does stick close and follows her people around but is also independent and will play once comfortable.

LIKES: Pets, socks, anything soft, some toys, bones, and playing chase. She loves to play outside in the yard. She enjoys walks and car rides, anywhere her people are!

DISLIKES: Being left out of the action, some grooming (likely just needs exposure).

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Fully trained in her foster home both with and without a dog door.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Sleeps in a crate at her foster home. Is crated while humans are away, does not willingly go into the crate, and barks when you return.

EXTRAS/MISC.: Teagan would do great solo or with another playful dog her size, and needs a fenced yard to play in. She has a lot of energy and needs regular exercise. As a young dog, she would benefit from additional training and careful socialization and needs to go to a home that understands the 3-3-3 rule with dogs and has the patience to let her become comfortable in her new home. Children under 10 and larger dogs are not recommended. She tolerates new dogs around her size or smaller, she just needs slow introductions. She is very curious, and while timid with new activities, once she gains confidence in them, she does great!
