PERSONALITY TRAITS: Christian has a big heart in a compact frame. He is affectionate and food motivated, and happiest when he's spending time with people. Other dogs are easy friends, and he has even learned to coexist with two confident cats in his foster home. Still discovering the joy of toys, he's happiest when play is active and engaging rather than simply chewing on a toy by himself. Extremely smart and quick to learn. Surprisingly athletic for his size. Whether he's investigating a new smell, exploring every corner of the yard, or showing off an impressive jump, Christian approaches life with enthusiasm and confidence. When all the day's activity is over he'll curl right up next to you and nuzzle his head in for a snooze.

LIKES: Strangers, kids, other dogs, walks, being at your side, rescue dog yoga, chasing down smells and critters.

DISLIKES: Being left out of activities, loud popping balloons, and fireworks

POTTY TRAINING: He hasn't had any accidents in his foster home that couldn't have been prevented (when let outside as he is easily distracted and doesn't always go on his own)

CRATE TRAINING: Not a fan and hasn't had any experience in his foster home

OTHER/MISC: A clever terrier through and through. His forever family should be prepared for his adventurous spirit and provide secure fencing and supervision outdoors. Luckily his foster neighbors think he's just darling (oops!). He likes to counter surf like a cat, jump on tables, and over barriers. He would do best in a home where someone is home a lot.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.
