LIKES: Fionia is a lovely lady, and enthusiastically greets her people when they come home. But when you settle in she does the same. She is food motivated and will do her best to sit in order to get a treat. Hobbies include lounging on the couch and playing with the other dog in her foster home.

DISLIKES: Not a huge fan of her crate but after a while she has gotten used to and is super excited when her foster family comes home. Loud noises and sudden movements do alert her to be careful. With a little time trust builds and she relaxes. Fionia does not want the other animals to eat her dinner, and if unsupervised she will eat all the dinners.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Once she gets to know you and if she thinks you have treats she will get up on two legs to greet you and do happy spins with her tail twirling around. She loves prancing around the yard but if it’s cold and wet, she’s the first one in. There seems to be zero interest in escaping a yard, and she prefers to go be safe inside. Similarly she will walk on a leash for a little while, and quickly wants to come home.

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: She will use pee pads when she doesn't have access to go outside on her schedule. Otherwise she thrives with routine and will do her business every time. She prefers to be with someone outside and may not choose to go out via a dog door (especially if it's raining).

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: She has adjusted to spending some time in a crate when unsupervised.

EXTRAS/MISC: At some point something happened to her back paw and from time to time she favors it. With that said she will still sprint on all fours and is very mobile. She leaps from couch to couch and generally this old injury does not seem to bother her. She will alert when other dogs bark, and is attentive to her humans. Following people during house activities and relaxing with the other animals keeps her busy. She gets along with the resident cats. Bring the treats and she will stick around forever!

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.
