Peeta
3 years, neutered male, 17 lb
Corgi mix
LIKES: Loves getting belly scritches from his foster kids and having lap cuddles. Wants to be by your side. Enjoys playing with toys and is very food motivated.
DISLIKES: Being left alone.
PERSONALITY TRAITS: Peeta is a very silly and happy go lucky boy! He lives for cuddles with his foster family. Is great on leash and doesn’t pull.
POTTY TRAINING STATUS: Potty trained but may need a belly band as he transitions homes.
CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Will try to race back out once you place him in it if he knows you’re leaving, but doesn’t mind sleeping in it at night. Will sometimes prefer to crawl into his crate and be alone on his dog bed.
OTHER/MISC: Peeta needs slow introductions to other dogs, and can be reactive to bigger dogs on walks. In his foster home, Peeta took a few hours to warm up to the resident dog. Continued training and socialization will help Peeta be the best dog he can be. Applicants with other dogs in the home should explain their experience level with integrating nervous dogs.
To further inquire about PEETA, submit an application.
Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how PEETA will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.
Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.
We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for PEETA, as well as his future family.
