Dexter and Charlie

AGE: 8 years old (Dexter) and 11 years old (Charlie)

WEIGHT: Approx 5lbs (Dexter) and 9lbs (Charlie)

These two brothers have lived their whole lives together and are very bonded, so we prefer them to be adopted together. They're sweet, peppy little guys with lots of love to give. Dexter is the more cuddly of the two while Charlie likes a little more space except when you're actively petting and talking to him. They get along with other dogs. They are getting used to cats and are learning how to interact appropriately with them.

LIKES: Pets and love, sleeping on the couch, treats. Dexter loves sleeping right beside you on the couch. Charlie loves one on one pets and praise.

DISLIKES: Sleeping in the crate - they'd much rather stay with you at night. Dexter doesn't like jumping up high - he can do it but he has tiny legs so he would much rather you pick him up.

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: They are adjusting to their foster home and Charlie is having a harder adjustment than Dexter, but they both should do well as long as they are taken out frequently. They are both learning to use a dog door and are figuring it out well!

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: These sweeties would really rather not be crated or penned. When crated at night they do bark and cry for about half an hour, then settle down and sleep quietly until morning.

EXTRAS/MISC.: Charlie and Dexter would do best in a calmer home since Dexter has very little interest in playing and Charlie likes to play but for only a short time. They'd much rather curl up on the couch with you and be your close companion.
