Ruth
2 years, spayed female, 19 lbs
Chihuahua mix
PERSONALITY TRAITS: Ruth loves playing with her best dog friend in her foster home. She also loves cuddling with her human foster family—both adults and kids. She does have some anxiety that should improve over time as she becomes more comfortable in a new home. She has never shown any signs of aggression.
LIKES: Playing, cuddling, treats, and napping.
DISLIKES: Being locked in a kennel at night.
CRATE TRAINING: She does well in her crate but also seems to do fine without much mischief when left out of her crate while unattended.
POTTY TRAINING: She has mastered using a dog door at her foster home
OTHER / MISC: Ruth is a very sweet and loving dog. She has really grown on our family, but now it’s her opportunity to find her forever home. She does have some anxiety, but it improves as she becomes comfortable in her environment.
She can climb to escape, and if she is scared enough she may try to run. Because of this, it’s very important that she feels safe and secure before being allowed outside without a leash.

Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how RUTH will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.
Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.
We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for RUTH, as well as her future family.
