LIKES: Running, playing, jumping, playing, food, treats, playing, fetching, playing, toys, chewing.

DISLIKES: Naps (until he is completely exhausted or you make him sit on your lap), being in a crate, being away from his humans, not playing.

PERSONALITY TRAITS: Zylo is a high energy pup and LOVES to play with humans and other dogs. He is food motivated, very smart, learning basic commands, would probably love agility training to keep him busy and engaged. He would also be a great hiking buddy.

POTTY TRAINING: In progress - he is using the dog door regularly. Sometimes needs supervision/verbal redirection to stay on task and go potty outside and not just run around - basically he is having so much fun he forgets he needs to potty.

CRATE TRAINING: Work in progress. He spends short times (15-30 minutes) in crate during the day with encouragement to settle and chew on toys. Currently cries when put in the crate at night, but has had 7+ hours of sleeping in the crate. Due to his age, he still needs to be let out to potty in the night.

OTHER/MISC: Zylo needs a secure, fenced yard, as he is very high energy and needs lots of outside time to run and play. He will need consistency and training to learn appropriate boundaries, but he is very smart and learns quickly. He will be an amazing member of an active, energetic family that can offer him lots of learning activities so he can reach his full potential. Zylo's adoption fee is eligible for discount if a training package is purchased from an area training provider - we really want to see him go to a succesful adoption where he can be given the time and training he needs to thrive.

Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.
